The border provides an excellent opportunity to introduce a pop of color to your project. Options are limitless, whether you choose a border that matches your patio, an accent color, or even a double border for added emphasis. Once all the pavers are laid, the patio is in its final phase of completion, with the border serving as the finishing touch to enhance the overall design.

Final Stages of Paver Construction
In the final stages, we add a concrete edge to the exposed perimeter of the patio. This edge acts as a restraint, ensuring that the pavers stay firmly in place. The concrete is set about 1 inch below the top of the paver and is then covered with topsoil for a seamless finish.
To fill the joints between the pavers, we use polymeric sand. This involves sweeping the sand into the joints, and after proper installation and watering, the sand hardens, locking out weeds and keeping the pavers securely in place.

Once the sand is prepared, we set up our square lines. When laying pavers, the joints between each one form bond lines. To ensure the patio is properly aligned, it must be “square” with your home or any other stationary structure in the area. This step is critical for proper construction etiquette and ensures the most visually appealing result. Our team is trained to lay the pavers first and then install the borders afterward for a precise and polished finish.
